Coloured county map of Surrey from Volume IV, containing the English county maps, of Blaeu’s landmark atlas of the world “Nouvel Atlas”, first published in 1645. The map contains the usual Blaeu decorations; including the royal coat of arms together with the arms of the noble families of the county and cartouche surrounded by a stag and a hound. A description of the county appears verso in French. A lovely old coloured, strong dark impression on heavy paper in excellent condition. 38 cm x 50 cm
