A very detailed map of the islands of the Caribbean, the gulf-coast of the Southern United States, Mexico, Central America and northern South America on two joined sheets that appeared in Moll’s “New and Complete Atlas”. Considered to be one of the best 18th century maps of the region, the map is dedicated to William Patterson, one of the founders of the Bank of England and shows the routes of the Spanish treasure fleets in the Caribbean with accompanying explanations. The map also includes a prospect of Mexico City, with a key of important buildings, and enlarged charts of the regional towns and their harbours, with depth sounding, including those in Havana, Cartagena, St. Augustine, Vera Cruz and Porto Bella.
