Coloured county map of Wiltshire from Volume IV, containing the English county maps, of Blaeu’s landmark atlas of the world “Nouvel Atlas”, first published in 1645. The map contains the usual Blaeu decorations; including the royal coat of arms together with the arms of the noble families of the county, the shield of St. George and scenes of local life. A description of the county appears verso in French. Other than some toning to the wide margins, a strong dark impression on heavy paper in excellent condition. 41.5 cm x 50 cm
