Coloured map of Asia by Richard Blome taken from his atlas entitled “A Geographical Description Of The Four Parts Of The World”, based on the work of Sanson and first published in 1670. In common with most of Blome’s maps, there is a large coat of arms and dedication to subscribers who financed the publication of the atlas. This map is a later variation as the original subscriber’s details were erased and a new one added; with some remnants of the original still to be seen on close inspection. Blank verso. Very close margins as issued and centrefold strengthening with minor repair; otherwise, a decorative, rare map in very good condition. 40 cm x 56 cm
