First edition of a comprehensive study of the Holy Land covering both it’s geography and history by the English churchman and historian Thomas Fuller (1608 – 1661). The book is dated 1650, has a cancelled “Jews College” library stamp and the publisher’s imprint reads: “Printed by M.F. for Iohn Williams at ye Crowne in St Paules Churchyard. All maps and engraved plates, including the large fold-out map of Palestine, plan of Jerusalem, map of ancient Egypt and maps of the 12 tribes of Israel. The book is generally in good condition with some tears and repairs to its pages and both front and back boards are present but have become detached.
