Coloured carte a figures map of the Low Countries from an early George Humble edition of John Speed’s “A Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World”. A very detailed and ornate map of the Low Countries, it is decorated across the top with views of eight cities of the region, including Amsterdam, Antwerp, Ghent and Utrecht, and panels down both sides depicting local men and women in period dress. A description of Belgia appears on the verso in English. Other than some wormholes, most of which have been professionally repaired, a finely coloured dark impression with the usual tight margins in very good condition. 41.5 cm x 53 cm
